Welcome to A-High Tech Appliance Repair (“A-High Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and communications, including text messaging programs. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Our Services

We provide residential and commercial appliance diagnostics, repair, installation, and related services in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (the “Services”). Specific service offerings, pricing, and availability may change without notice.

2) Scheduling, Estimates, and Payment

  • Scheduling. You may request service online or by phone. Appointment windows are estimates.
  • Estimates. Any quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time. Final pricing may vary after on-site diagnosis.
  • Payment. Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise stated in writing. We accept commonly used payment methods. Late, return, or chargeback fees may apply where permitted by law.
  • Parts & Returns. Parts orders may be non-cancelable and/or non-returnable once placed with suppliers.

3) Limited Warranty

We provide a limited labor warranty and, where applicable, pass through manufacturers’ parts warranties. Warranty periods and coverage will be stated on your invoice. Warranty is void for misuse, unauthorized repairs, non-recommended installation conditions (e.g., improper power, venting, or water quality), or if balances are unpaid. This warranty is your exclusive remedy to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4) Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe, clear access to the appliance and the work area.
  • Ensure utilities (power, water, gas) are available and code-compliant.
  • Provide accurate information about symptoms and prior service.
  • Secure pets and safeguard valuables.

5) Communications Consent (Email, Phone, and SMS/MMS)

By providing your contact information, you consent to us contacting you about scheduling, service updates, approvals, invoices, and customer support. Where you explicitly opt in (see Section 6), you may also receive promotional messages. You can withdraw consent at any time as outlined below.

6) Mobile Text Messaging Program (A2P Compliance)

We offer SMS/MMS messages for transactional purposes (appointment confirmations, reminders, technician ETAs, service updates, and invoices/receipts). With your separate opt-in, we may also send promotional messages (offers, tips, seasonal reminders).

How to Opt In
You may opt in by one or more of the following:

  • Submitting a website form that clearly discloses messaging and checking any required consent box;
  • Replying affirmatively to an opt-in prompt (e.g., “YES”) after you provide your number;
  • Requesting messages verbally or in writing during scheduling or service intake where we capture consent.

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your engagements with us (e.g., scheduling and service stage). Promotional frequency varies and will be stated where you opt in.

Msg & data rates may apply. Your carrier’s rates apply.

How to Opt Out
You can opt out at any time by texting STOP. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation message and will cease further messages from that program. You may also request removal via our contact page.

Message delivery may be subject to your mobile carrier’s coverage and network availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility
You must be the account holder or authorized user for the mobile number you provide and be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

7) Privacy

We respect your privacy and only use personal information to provide and improve our Services, process payments, communicate with you (including SMS as described above), and comply with law. We may share data with service providers (e.g., payment processors, scheduling/messaging platforms) bound by confidentiality and data-use restrictions. We do not sell your personal information.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, A-HIGH TECH AND ITS TECHNICIANS, OWNERS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: (A) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR (B) DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless A-High Tech from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

11) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective upon posting to our website with an updated Effective Date. Your continued use of our Services after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12) Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes that are not subject to small claims proceedings.
